V WILD FLOWERS ARE BLOOMING j e ; . ~[ ] , . i i ( Hepaticas and Snowy Trilliums to Be Found Already About Urbana . The first wild flowers of the season are In bloom in the woods . Hepaticas made their appearance on the north slopes of hills and are blooming in their usual white , pink and purple colors . Unless cold weather comes again they will be blooming for several weeks . Snowy trilliums are also in bloom , but are scarce , and there are but few spots about Urbana where they may be found . The blooming of wild flowers is of particular interest to the teachers and pupils of the high scbpol , as it means that the season for botanizing is on . Memphis , Teun ., March 19 . —The highest stage of water predicted by the weather bureau was realized Thursday morning when the gauge registered 40 feet . The crest of the high wave is believed to be near , however , and it is confidently prophesied that in another 24 hours a decline will be noted . Jerry Fitzgerald , of Sidney is the defendant in a damage suit now being heard in the circuit court . Otis J . IT WASN T SMALLPOX Suspect in Urbana Yesterday Was Suffering With Sometking Else . CHAMPAIGNS WARNING . People Advised to Take Precautions to Prevent Pest from Appearing . It was reported yesterday that another case of smallpox had * made its appearance in Urbana . In view of the epidemic in Danville , there was some apprehension , but it will be quieted when it is stated that the suspect didn t have the disease .
