Griggs & Co., New York, have issued a compact Brc. volume, entitled "A Manual of Classical Literature," comprising biograph ical and critical notices of the principal Greet and Roman authors, with illustrative extracts from their works. Also a brief Bur vey of the rise and progress of the various forms of literature, with descriptions of tha minor authors. The work is by Charles Mor ris. It is a work which will attract much - attention and excite DO little criticism.
