Sayes one of the Kid's band, vas captured on Friday of last week bboutten miles from San Carlos, fend will be turned over to the civil huthorities of Pinal county for trial hi he is one of the Apache convicts who murdered Sheriff Eeynolds and Deputy Holmes. Sayes was in the decent fight when one Indian was killed, and he was wounded three times. . He says he was one of the band who killed Hardie, the Los Angeles lawyer, in Rucker Canyon, and that the Kid himself shot Hardie. When captured, Sayes had in his possession the rifle of Sheriff Reynolds. All but two the Kid, and Tonto-B-Sixty of the murderers of Reynolds have either been killed or captured. Last hight about 3 o'oclock a. tn a west-bound freight train broke in two a few miles east of Needles, and in some way the hind part collided with the front part, striking a car supposed to contain dynamite. An awful explosion followed and the engineer and fireman jumped and took to the countrv. lhen in some way the engine and one car became detach ed from the rest of the train and started toward Needles without engineer or fireman. No. 4, the passenger train, was on the main ?Iine at Needles, and would have been badly wrecked, but for the timely action of a switchman who got to the switch and sidetracked the runaway. After entering the switch the runaway engine collided with another engine on the side track, doing considerable damage.
