The reason for the meeting (to be held this Friday at 9 a.m.) is to hammer out an agreeable solution to the controversy that has arisen over the staffing of the Sheriff's Department. Miss Cynthia Ann Guettler and Mr. Jerry Dan Peden. both of Arling- ton. were united in holy wedlock by Rev. Clyde Holtman of Smithville. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lillian Guettler of Smithville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Peden of Van. Texas. The bride. presented at the altar by her uncle.
