The wet weather of the past few days, has brought in a very practical manner to the notice of the residents of Zeehan what state they may expect the streets of their town to be in dating the coming winter, when the rain of a few days could render our street (for actually we have bnt one) in the almost impassable state it has laid in during the present week. As in moat newly formed mining towns, Zeehan may broadly be stated as being built facing one street through which traffic, Tehicular and pedestrian, must travel ; and so in our case, every single article that is needed for our multituduras wants must be carted or curied over our single street to be delivered at Zeehan. As this street is formed only for a width of twelve feet, and there daily pisses over it the traffic neccessary for supplying the wants of o...

That Road. [Newspaper Article] — Zeehan and Dundas Herald — 6 April 1891

That Road. Carters i-nd others, whose business re quires them to travel frequently between Triiil Harbor and Zeehan, are load in their complaints of llic terrible condition of the road during (he past few days. One of our medical men, who waa nastily sum moned to attend a case of accident at Triul in the early part o£ the week, des cribes the road as consisting of endless Bens of liquid mud.
