Mr. R. Donaldson, M.P., paid a visit   to Adelong on Tuesday afternoon with the intention of publicly addressing the electors on matters connected with tho Gundagai-Tumut railway. In consequence of the funeral of the late Master Robert Kenny taking place on that afternoon, Mr. Donaldson re- frained from carrying out his arrange- ments, but he met personally a number of landowners and laid before them his views, pointing out what he considered to be a very serious misconstruction put on the evidence given before the .committee by Mr. Jno. Noxious Animals' Destruction. [Newspaper Article] — Adelong and Tumut Express and Tumbarumba Post — 31 July 1900

Noxious Animals' Destruc tion. At a recent conference of Stock Boards in Albury, Mr. McPherson said the difficulty experienced by the Hume Board was' to prevent scalps being brought in from other districts. When, they gave a large premium, skins from outside districts and even from Victoria, were' broueht in ??to claim the bonus. But no man would pay bonuses out of his own pocket unless quite sure that the animal' had been killed on his own land. . As to killing crows, the only method was to go to the places where they breed. The main question, how ever, was to determine how to prevent ...
