Cardinal Koran at Balmain. Speaking of tie opening of » bazaar in aid of the Convent at Balmain, Cardinal Moran in the course of liis speech made the follow ing remarks; — ^ ' ; ? ? There was one feature on which he wished to congratulate the'eitizens of Balmain. It was the great harmony that prevailed be tween the Catholics of the district and their Protestant fellow-citizenB. Since he entered that hall he had been delighted to hear from the superior of the Vincentian Fathers that several of the Protestant citizens for Balmain had generously contributed to the success of the present bazaar. (Applause.) On die part of the Catholic citizens not only of Bal main but also of the city in general, he was sure he might be authorised to thank those Protestant fellow-citizens of their generous co-operation in that good work, and w far as in them lay it must be their duty to make a due return to them, and to co-operate with them in return for that generous sympathy which they had shown them....
