COSTIMTEO Had I been on friendly terms with Coxon or Duckling, I should have made no delay in going to one or the other of them and communicating my mis givings, for I really apprehended that there was something serious in the at titude of the men. But I knew both of them disliked me so thoroughly that they were likely to convert my warn ing into a direct charge against me, and if the mutiny which I foreboded broke out I would be treated as the ring-leader. Besides, there was another consideration that inlluenced me; my misgivings might be unfounded. I might make a report which would not only imperil my own position, but pro voke him into assuming an attitude toward the men which would produce in rc:iliry the mutiny that might, as things went, never come to pass. This consideration more than any thi...

K Abilene Eeflectok. - - In one of last week's issues of the Daily Gazette the "bull-in-the-china-abop" editor of that organ a decidedly windy one goes on at great length with 1'- of assertions calculated to misl . ..e public, in regard to the re spect., o county circulations of the Gazette and Keflector. He says that at the time the bids were being made for the county printing in Jan uary last, the joint affidavit of the Chronicle and Reflector showed a county circulation to exceed 1800. So far, so good. The Chronicle and Re flector did combine, and made a bid for the county printing, at 33 per cent, of the rates charged previously, and that it was not given to them, was an outrage upon the tax payers of the county, in making them pay 27 per cent, more by giving the contract to the Ga zette at CO per cent, of previous rates, when that organ swore to but 1236 county circulation. Just look at the two bids, you tax payers. Th...
