A MAN'S VOICE. CHAPTER XII.—CONTINUED. [Newspaper Article] — Adelong and Tumut Express and Tumbarumba Post — 27 July 1900

^;;.:MAN:s--ypipB.-. Chapter XII. — Continued. ' You think I want it, eh ? ' said sho roguishly. ' Well, I won't make rash promises. The Narelle Concert. [Newspaper Article] — Adelong and Tumut Express and Tumbarumba Post — 27 July 1900

The Narelle Concert Last Tuosday night was not such a one that would induce Adclongites or any other human to deliberately leave their own or their neighbours' iugld, nook, with a cheery fire blazing, and other concomitant surroundings, in search of oven such a delightful two hours' musical treat as that . given in tho Oddfellows' Hall by the Mane' Narello Concert Company ' on that evening. There is a very old truism, somewhat to tho effect that music will charm oven a savago, and tho aphor ism proved trito in the case of tho present writer, who felt in no happy framo of mind whon ho left congenial surroundings for the Cimmoruan dark ness existing outsido, but left tho con cert-hall completely changed in mood, and smiling faces surrounded him. ' Tho play's tho thing,' soliloquised Hamlet ; but doubtless tho molancholy Dane had no sweet-voiced singer in his day to charm his senses. Long before the doors woro oponed .all reserved seats had boon booked, and in very quick time tho build...
