King, Specialist iri Painless Dentistry, High-street, West iviamaua, will visit Kaymond Terrace every Thursday, and may be consulted at rooms right opposite the Examiner Office. Hours, 9.30 a.m. till 4 p.m. 1 The Man and the Land.— While Aus tralians are\no doubt duly grateful for the advice most visitors give us as to the duty' of populating the vast interior and ' go ing on the land,' generally (the ' ' Even ing News'- says) the trouble is that it is a kitid of council that .usually fails^in the matter, of detaijs. There are certain dis advantages attached to the land, which' are painfully evident to most people who have come in contact with it. Farm work is hard work. There is not much of the sacred eight-hour principle about it. It is, moreover, somewhat lonesoine, especially to the man who has not b...

The half-yearly report of the Upper Manning Co-operdtive Dairy Company for the six mouths ended December 31 J last shows that the output for the period was 36 1,4951b. butter, the bulk of which v ? was disposed of in the Sydney market, exports ou the company's account amounting to about 14 per 6ent. of the output. After makiug the usual allow-' auce for depreciation the profit and loss accounts shows a net deficit for the period of ^69. Alfa Laval! Of Course. [Newspaper Article] — Raymond Terrace Examiner and Lower Hunter and Port Stephens Advertiser — 11 April 1913

Alfa Laval ! Of Course. ^ Tbe sentiments expressed above were uttered by a well-known dairy farmer in response to what he considered vas a silly question to aek bim, viz., what make of separator he was using; but the person who asked the question was to be excused, as Jb he was brought up in the town and did not ^ know that there is only one separator in existence, namely, tbe Alfa Laval. There probably has never been a peice of mac- IP hinery of any. kiud which has gained for it. self such an absolutely unique record as the Alfa Laval has done. If it had not been for the Alfa Laval separators, dairy. ing could not have made the progress it has done. The sales of the Alfa lyaval Separators increase every year, and we frequently have a thousand machines in ? stock to supplv orders promptly. - Sole Agents, Waugh and Josephsonj ? Sydney, or D. E.
