Whipple, the most accomplished dagurreotypit and crystalotypisi of the age, whose works of art have been the subject of ndrniring comment in this com munity for years. Well, we have now in our possession an anecdote connected with a certain well known personage, who visited his establish ment for the purpose of having the counterpart of his features taken to present to his belter half, which is too good to be lost. The gentle manly and courteous artist request ed his patron to take a seat until he should be enabled, by the connivance of circumstances and the alacritv of the present recipients of the advan tages of his art, to wait upon him.
