Ketchum, who died at Wichita, had a provision in his will that $2,000 should be given to the First Baptist church. This organization is prepar ing to erect a new edifice and it was for this purpose that the money is given to the church. The estate is worth $25,000. . Falls in Eoiling Water, Otis Arm stead, the 3 1-2-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Armstead, died at Em porta from burns resulting from hav ing fallen into a. tub of hot water. The child backed into the tub. A doctor dressed the child's burns, but the water contained lye and this probably hastened hie death. Water Mill at Elmdale Burns. The large water power grist mill of W. H. Roberts & Co., at Elmdale, caught flro and was entirely destroy ed, together with about '500 bushels of wheat. 500 bushela of corn, 500 bushels of kafflr corn and 4 car loads of flour.
