Perhaps I may propound some interrogatories before I am done. 1 have been doing a small business as Druggist and Apothecary In Athens nearly eleven years. I commenced business her under very unfavorable circumstances, the prospect being very poor for making a living at selling Drugs. Tho citizens of the town know these to be faote, or at least all who were citizens at that time. None of them think the Drug business profitable or some one vujuld have taken hold of it before now, for I have several times offered to sell out and give it up. In 1826 when the eomet of that year appeared, there were floods and inundations. Some inspired people built "Arks;" not a few of these float eJ down the Mississippi. Everybody who voted for Clay or Polk recollects that im ntente brush-broom which the house keeper of the skies handled in the cobweb business in 1818.
