Death of Mrs. G. Best.! ? I The very man}- friends ofi Mrs. George Best, of Yandina, I will regret to hear of the de- j mise of that lady, which sad event took place at the Gym pie Hospital at 2. a.m. on Thursday, December 31st, last. For some months past Mrs. Best had not been in the { best of health by any means, and she sought medical atten tion in the institution above referred to. After her entry to the hospital, it was decided to perform an operation by way of amputating the right arm above the elbow, and after some weeks of careful nursing the operation took place a day or so prior to her death. The deceased was brought down to Yandina on New Year's Daj- by the afternoon train, and the remains in terred in the Yandina cemetery, the largest funeral ever seen in Yandina taking place that day. Mr. R. Drew officiated at the graveside. Mrs. Best was exceptionally popular amongst the residents, and for years held the post of superintendent of the local Sunday-school. Mrs. Best was ...
