We take the following from the ' Brisbane Courier" of June 7 : "The President of the Methodist Conference received a telegram yes terday announcing that the death of the Rev R. Dunstan, ex-president of the Queensland Methodist Confer ence, took place on Tuesday at Prahran, Melbourne. The late clergyman was one of the most highly respected ministers of the Methodist Church,' and was greatly beloved by his brethren in the minis. try for his unselfish spirit and gene al excellence of character. He exer cised his ministry in three of the Australian States-South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland. He was born aa Vaughan, near Castlemaine, Victoria, but spent his schoolboy days at Daylesford, where he joined the Methodist Church, and became a lay preacher. PITH AND POINT. Help Ivanhoe State school patriotic fund-June 28. The sewering of the railway stations has got as far as Ivanhoe. A meeting is called by the Heidel berg Progress Society of ratepayers in terested in selecting a candidate for the Heidelberg riding at the shire election. The shire council will meet on Tues day evening next. Wintry weather means warm cloth ing, and the place to get it is Hattam and Hattam's, Northcote. The electing light is being installed in the old Methodist Church, Ivanhoe, at the instigation of the Young Men's Club and the Endeavor. A lecture will be given in the Ivanhoe Hall on Wednesday next by Colonel Chaplain Mackay on " A Visit to the War-swept area." Elocutionary items will also be given by Miss H. Janes.
