Henry Patton, colored, was arrested yesterday under Section 2,130 of the Revised Statutes, mating it a penal offence for anyone having one-elghta or more or negro blood to marry a white woman. The affidavit v&3 filed by T. W. Christijon, and when arxaigntd in Johnston's Court, Patton waived preliminary examination and was placed Tinder $1.000 bonds to wait Grand Jnry action. The penalty for the offence with which Patton ia charged is fine and Imprisonment, the former not lees than $100 nor more than -$1.000 and the latter all the way from one to ten years.
