Whitewash for Outlionscs. As tins is the season of tiio year when considerable whitewashing is performed, un J hs we have been in quired of fur n good whitewashing re- yeipt, by numbers of new subscribers who hiive not raad our receipt in a fainter volume, we present it ngttin, knowing that ti good story is never the woroo to ba twice told: Tnke a clenn barrel that will hId Water. Put into it half bushel of quicklime, and alack it by pouring over it boiling water sufficient f.o co er it four or five inches deep, and etirriugit until slaked. Wheu quite slaked, dissolve it in water, and add two pounds of sulphate of zinc, and one of eouimon Rait, which may be bad at any of the druggists, and; which, in a Jew days, will cause the whitewash to harden on the wood work. Add sufficient water to bring it to the consistency of thick whitewash. To make the above wash of a pleas ant cream color, adij 3 lbs, yellow ochre. For fawn clor, add A lbs, umber, 1 lb.
