The finaon for tliot highly esteemed vege table, the tomato, being again at hand, we tako occasion, saya the Columbus Enquirer,, to recommend a mode of serving them obtained from a news paper, and which, after trial, we can pronounce excellent. It is to slice them, when ripe, cover - them with batter, and fry ona griddle, like other cakes. They should be seasonod whilo frying. Large and solid toma toes are the lost for the dish. Those who nro fond ot tomatoes will take v.6 1 delight in them fried in this way for breakfast; and we believe that mnny, who have not fancied them in the old styles of serving, will find them palatablo in this way.
