THE NORTHERN ENEMIES OF THE NEBRASKA BILL WHO AND "WHAT THEY ARE. We find in the New York Herald a report of the proceedings of the twentieth anniversary of the American Anti-Slavery Society, and also an edito rial article descriptive of the men and scenes in tliis infamous and blasphemous a9?embla?e. We publish the Herald's article that the people of the south may leam the character of those Northern men who are now the most vehement opponents of the Nebraska bill If this exposition does not crimson the cheeks of those southern whigs who are now acting in concert with these unmitigated Wretches in an attempt to defeat the triumph of justice and constitutional principle, they are more callous than we have thought it possible southern men could become. The Herald truly remarks that the members of this Anti-Slavery Society were the originators o...

NASHVILLE: FRIDAY HORNING, MAY 19, 1851. 1 THE FIREMEN'S PARADE. " The annual parade of the firemen of the city took place yesterday, The companies mustered in ua usual force, and the several engines and hose car riages were gaily and tastefully decorated. "We have never seen this gallant body appear as welL The day was beautiful and the procession was witnessed by the entire population of the city, The levee at Odd Fellows' Hall at night was cro wd- . ed, and we need not add that it was brilliant The night was well spent before the happy throng left the hall, and there were evidently many flames lighted during the evening which there will be no effort to subdue. Among the incidents of .the day was the pre- f entation of a belt, buckle, and spanner to Capt. Dashifll, of No. .by the tender boys of that company. The presentation was made through James T. Ef.ll, who' addressed Capl. Daswkll as follows: Capt. Dasiueia: A portion of the gallaut corps you command, the "Tender Boy?," have ...

THE ANTI NEBRASKA LEADERS. In hi3Fpeechoa the Nebraska bill, Gen.Zoi.u COFFCT, of this State, very appropriately inquires why, if the bill surrenders Southern rights, are all the'abolitionists, in Congress and out of Congress, opposed to it. We illustrate the idea by showing how the New York Tribune, the leading abolition journal of the country, regards the Southern oppo nents of the bilL No doubt the whig members from this State who oppose the bill are shrewd men. But we doubt if they are any better judges of what favors abolitionism than is Hoi ace Greeley. During the exciting scenes through which tl.e House passed on the 12th and 13th instant, hourly despatches were forwarded to the Tribune from "Washington.
