FALLING HAIR STOPPED. [Newspaper Article] — Imperial Valley Press — 24 August 1901

FALLING HAIR STOPPED. Baldness Cured by Destroying the Para- site Germ That Causes It. Baldness follows falling hair, falling hair follows dandruff; and dandruff is tlie result of a germ digging Its way Into tho scalp to the root of the hair where It saps the vitality cf the hair. To destroy that germ Is to prevent as well as cure dandruff, falling hair. and. lastly, baldness. There Ih only one preparation known to do that, Nowbro'a Hcrplcldo, an entirely new. scientific discovery] Wherever it has been tried It has proven wonderfully successful. IN THE OIL FIELDS [Newspaper Article] — Imperial Valley Press — 24 August 1901

IN THE OIL FIELDS There are queer stories put in print regarding the oil business. As an illustration, the San Diego Union, in dilating on the merits of a certain driller, says: "He recently put down a 1300foot well at Los Angeles, going through 400 feet of the hardest kind of granite." The write: probably doe? net k .ow that it wguld have been no more absurd if he had said that the drill went through 400 feet of cast steel. There have been wells drilled in California where granite boulders have been encountered, but it would be a rank imberile who would drill through 100 feet of granite, expecting to find oil, unless he had some remarkable reason to bellev? that the granite was far out of place, unnaturally covering a shale and sandstone formation. There Is no granite In LO3 Angeles field. All the efforts made in San Diego county to find oil, thus far without success, have not discouraged the people of that county, and drilling will be begun Monday by the Chula Vista company on lan...
