Tlie horses showed a substantial advance in numbers 011 jast year, and also an improvement in qual ity. 'I lie parade is held in connection with the horse sales, ami therefore purely show stulf is not expected. There were some very high-class animals forward, nevertheless. ]'t is evident that this function lias obtained a permanent footing amongst the agricultural fixtures of the State, and will ultimately ! grow to very important dimensions. While tlie Clydesdales were tho most numerous, tho Sulfolks held pride of place as regards qual ity. It was a very Jine class, and tho judgo ' reckoned it the best he had over seen.
