THE GREYHOUND WORLD By "Search Again" "Bring oui your Chieí Havocs," says Bluey. "I'll show him how." Yes, you've guessed it-Mantle Mil successful once again, this time at Wyong-. No wonder Jimmy's serving with a smile. Popular Prank Hosford is away ia S.A. once again, with many contracts to fulfil for the local boys. Maybe an- other Count Kefalin will be acquired. Here's hoping. Heard a rumor about a certain young pup. Beginner's luck. There's an old rhyme thal goes 'Topsy Bly caught a fly' but she nearly caught the tin hare at Wollongong last Satur- day night and I hear too that Stan Asche caught the bookmakers with their bags j open. So look out, Bill Cruickshank^ and Bosso Shepperd-here come Martin and Stall. He's fly-y-ying! Who? Why Mitchell Bomber of couse and he'll soon be going off with a big bang too. He can drop 'em also-you ask Perce. Liverpool Greyhound Owners and Trainers' Association will hold another big meeting in the School oí Arts at 8 o'clock Wednesday night, 4th...

It contains more vacant plots than cottages (less than thirty dwellings, in fact) but out of it, for the defence of our land, went nc less than twenty-five local lads. Thu could bs, and probably is &> record foi any locality of similar size in any coun- try in the world where the system ol voluntary enlistment is retained. Ai least it is a record cf which Liverpool -ugh'- to te extremely proud and one in which the Rose Stiee«, mothers wivei and sweethearts take an immeasurable pride. That pride being so great, Rose Street residents have long looked Tor some sign cf local public recognition of the ..art played by local lads in the recent .ar. As the end cf hostilities receded .u.
