Heidelberg District Patriotic League. The monthly meeting was held in the Shire Hall on Monday, May 28, ?Ars. H. Burrell in the chair. After the minutes were read, votes of sym pathy were passed to Mrs. Bouchier and Rev. Alex. and Mirs. Hardie on the loss of their soldier sons. The hon. secretary, Mrs. J. A. - ing, gave her report as delegate to Government House of work being none at Strathallan and Light Duties Camp. A beautiful hammock, made by a returned soldier there, was ex hibited. Dufistan, a leading Methodist [minister of Queensland, died early :onl Wednesday morning at the residence of hls-sister, Mrs. R. Reynolds, Prahran. The deceased clergyman, .who was presi: dent of the conference two years ago, and :was also president of the West Austra, lian conference some years previously, was stationed at Maryborough, Q., and took an active part in the conscription referenduml and the 6 o'clock closing campaign. His health broke down, and conference granted him three months' holiday, which he intended spending with his sisters in Victoria. Soon after his arrival serious symptoms manifested themselves which proved fatal. Mfr. Dunstan was a native of Victoria, and joined the Methodist ministry in South Australia. He leaves a widow and eleven children. Two sons are now serving with the forces in France.
