GLASGOW WEEKLY TIMES, THURSDAY MORNING, AUGUST 17, 1854. ffjjc dkpto fetes. "Sound to the Core." The. last Banner announces that the "large hotly of the democracy of Howard is sound to the core." A democrat desires III to ask what is meant by the "large body?" Also, what the Banner means by '-sound to the cortl" He wants to know is there a small body of the democracy thai is not sound. If so what makes one portion sound, and the other not. 13Have a full consultation before yen answer, and when you do answer, stick to it. 23Thosc who advised Flournoy not to come to Howard, that she was good for from 50 to 75 majority for him, can now ex plain to that gentleman the discrepancy be tween their views and the result. We think if they had not "staked him out," Lindley would have beaten him at least onehundrcd. It was only necessary fo see him, and hear him speak, to satisfy an intelligent pcoj lc. Look at the result where he went! A Chance rcn a Fortune. See adver tisement in another colum...
