An acci dent occurred nt the Fairview tunnel, nine miles west of here, in which one man was killed anil one fatally injured. A nuniher of others hud an almost miraculous escape. Sparks from the engine of a passen ger train ignited the timbers in the roof of the tunnel. A gang of men was quickly dispatched from this city under Foremen Matthews and Parker.
