The fraternal celebration held here Monday, July 5th, was, taken up one side and down the other, a succesi, and those who put their necks in the collar and pulled so manfully to make it a success deserve the thanks of the 'community. The day started out with threatening clouds, but later cleared up and gave us one of the warmest days of the season. Those engaged in getting up floats for the parade had a hot and tiresome time of it, but almost on time the show was started, and the grand, display made was worth all the time and trouble. All the floats were fine, and if a premium had been offered for the best, it would have puzzled the judges for a decision. If it had not been so warm our fashion editor might have written up a description of each but it was too warm for anything so hot. The R. N. fl...
