VJ x Novel Cause op Divorce. The Star pub- lished iu Providence It. I. says that a singular di- vorce case was decided before the Supreme Court of that State a short time since. A Mr. R. petitioned to have the bonds dissolved between him and his lady love oil the ground that he was a husband on- ly iu name his wife granting him nothing more than the simplest platonic privileges. The lady it came out in evidence married for the sake of com- pany but had no idea of taking any of -the respon- sibilities of the married state. She had no taste that way and so to render assurance doubly sure tit night she would tic herself up in a canvass bap o guard against accidents. 1 I r Accident. Wo regret to stato tint Don Agapito Mar- tinez better known as Comanche Col. Kinney's well known guide met with a serious accident at Mustang Island on Wednesday last. His horse fell upon him and shattered his leg in a shocking manner the bones of the ankle joint protruding through the skin and the foot hanging by the tendons only. He was brought to town on Thursday evening and as amputation was found to be absolutely necessary tho operation was performed the same night by Dr. Swift. Cholera.
