Obituary. DEATH 0FME8. J. P. ABBOTT. For Homo time past it lias boon known that this lady was suffering from a clangorous jllnese—an affection of tho InngB—bnt it wne hoped that it would not havo a fatal termination. On Monday afternoon last it was stated that sho was mnch bottor, but on Tuesday morning a telegram was re ceived from Maitland, whore ahe had gone for change of air and additional medical advice, that nnfavonrablo symptoms had euporvened. Mr. Abbott loft Maitland that morning in tho mail train, and had reached Murra rundi wboh he received those tidings. lie at once engaged a spocial train, and returned to Maitland, where ho arrived in time to be with tho docoased lady daring her last momonts—death ensuing oarly onWednosday morning. It is gratifying to know that Mrs. Abbott was amongst her more imme diate friends, and had all that lovo and skill oould suggest for her relief done for hor daring her illness.
