MAKE fOUR DISTRICT KNOWN. [Newspaper Article] — Hopetoun Courier and Mallee Pioneer — 20 February 1914

MAKE fOUR DISTRICT KNOWN. Concerning some parts of the dis trict news comes but seldom. This id not entirely our fault; wo have no miraculous power of knowing what is happening at all the places within our'area of circulation. It j is the fault of rvsiuents in the silent I places. , "Will some man or woman take the matter in hand and cause the silence to cease. If no one is doing it for yonr district, will you try on these lines ? Send accounts of public and social events in your township;and neigh borhood, such as weddings, deaths, accidents, concorts, matters touching district industries, etc. "Write the names of persons very distinctly. Don't bother about grammar or spelling ; the eilitor'n work to look alter those trifles. - The barest skeleton is enough. Write only on one side of the paper. Gi veinformation; but let criticism alono. Write your name and address on same corner—not for publication, but to prove good faith.
