Deniliquin Police Court. Saturday, January 26, 1901. (Before the Police Magistrate). Alfred A. E. Watson was charged with stealing a shirt and £lb of tobocco, the pro perty of Henry Nelson. Accused pleaded guilty, aad was sentenced to one month's hard labor in Deniliquin gaol. Monday, Jakuaey 28, 1901. (Before Messrs O. Wilshire, 3. Kelly, and R. J. Eames, J's.P.) . John Fitzgerald pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, and was fined £1 or seven days' imprisonment. William 0'Gorman, alias Fitzgerald, was charged with drunkenness. Rochester Races. The Rochester races on Wednesday last were well attended, several Denili quin sports taking the journey. Amongst the competitors at the meeting were Lady Bertha, Falcon, Gilbert, Cornet and Masher, but with the exception of Falcon noneof them managed to catch the judge's eye.
