WAR ON RABBITS 'To Begin h Earnest' The rabbit war in New South Wales wae about to begin in earnest, «ald the chairman of the rabbit de .truetion authority. Mr. W. J. Smith, In Sydney last week. How far, and how Quickly, it would succeed, would depend largely on the co-operatioa giv en by individuals and Pastures Protection Boards, he said. As an initial step, all P.P. Boards had been asked to or ganise poisoning campaigns throughout) their districts- in February and March. This was the Ideal time to poison rabbits. Until recently they had been living on lush feed. As that dried up, they would be lookiug for fresh ra tions, and would take readily to poison in various forms. ? Millions could be destroyed in this way in a few weeks. Every ndtvidual landholder with rab bits on his property should be on the job now.
