Reid, manager for Queensland for this well known firm of Vignerons and- Distil lers, he has supplied us with some in teresting facts In connection with the vintage at South Australia, and also the operations at Seppeltsfleld:— Some time ago It was predicted by Mr. IJ. Scppelt that there would prob ably be a shortage in the vintage this yeur, although other vignerons were of the opinion that the results would at least equal those of last season. The returns from Seppeltsfleld are now available. The vintage began on March 12, and finished on April 27; thus a period of seven weeks was occupied In treating this year's crop. The short ages of individual sorts, as compares with last year, were approximately as follow: — Cabernet Sauvignon, 3S po- cent; Carbernci Gros, 17; Sliiraz, 10; and Mataro, 10 per cent.
