HEALTH INSPECTOR AUTHORISED TO SERVE FOUR NOTICES Approval for the issue of four notices by the Health Inspector was issued at the last meeting of the Bungil Shire Council. They involve the Injune Town Bakery, the Gunnewin Hall Com mittee, and the Komine and Orallo Hall owners. The Health Inspector reported that recent inspections of the town bakery at Injune have revealed that conditions were as bad as previously reported. He Jmd spoken to the lessee aeverul times about lliis matter, and requested authority to serve a statutory notice on liim requiring him to thoroughly clean up the place and keep it in a clean condition. Inspection was also made the Gunnewin Hall and conveniences, and lie requested approval to the service of a notice on the ball committee requir ing them to erect a new convenience for gentlemen and to install a new cabinet in the Indies convenience. BALLOONS, LIGHTS, PARTIES IN GAY ANNUAL MASONIC BALL Gaiety was the keynote of the annual Masonic Ball, held in the Hibernian Hall last Friday amid the popping of hundreds of balloons, the glow of coloured lights, and the tempo of a series of carefree late ball patties. The stage, centre of which was occupied by an attractively lettered sign, "Masonic Ball, 1948," was beautifully decor ated with flowers, interspersed with coloured lights. An avenue of pine trees aglow witih tiny coloured lights formed a delightful approach to the hall, where more than 400 dancers re c-cted to the happy atmosphere.
