According to the published report of the proceedings of the meeting of the .railroad com mittee yesterday afternoon, to confer with the representatives of the Chicago, St. Lonis & Texas Air Line railway com pany r the proposition made on "behalf of the company in cludes provisions to build and equip a standard gaage rail road from San Antonio to Brownsville, and to have trains running between the two points by July 1, 1900, upon which the counties of Starr, Hidalgo and Cameron are to pay to the company the sum of $150,000 in cash or lands. This is the sum and substance of the agree ment which will probably be ratified by the meeting which has been called for this after noon.
