Orover Cleveland, ex-Presi? dent and pisoatorial enthusiast, recent? ly received some rather rough treatment at the hands of a Connecticut farmer, whobadfo.-bidden trespassing, hunting. and fishing upon his lands The sage of Buzzard's Bay is himself a zealous guardian of game right?, so lu has no reason to complain of the incide it in question. It appears that Mr. Cleveland was the guest of a Connecticut gentle? man who lives in a neighborhood where there is fine fishing, and that the ex President, when he got into trouble, supposed he was on the lauds of his host, though suoh was not the case. Frank Johnson, the farmer who saw his territory invaded, had frequently been irritated by poachers, and when he spied Mr. Cleveland he "stalked" him, creeping along a hedge until he came to the spot where the large, lone fisherman had just landed a big trout.
