Last ; Tuesday, about half past one o' clock in the evening, the car, bound for Decherd, was thrown off the track by a chunk of wood which had been left accidentally, near the bridge. The car ran a litttlo distance on the crossties and went over, falling some 50 feet, one part striking in the water. Somo say that the car fell on the end and turned , over. There .wejo.MK persons in the car, name ,ly Mr. Jack Natt, tho conductor and engineer, Mr. Heed, Mr. Gill, Mr. McMurry, Mr. Robt. Reeves and a stranger from New York. Mr. Reed was killed instantly, a stick or splinter from the broken car, having run into his body near tho heart. One of his lcg3 was broken, besides other injuries done.
