VOL 5. WEEK BEGUN. The Stability or Jamestown Evidenced by its tioitd Buildings. Why Stutsman County Should Prepare for a Fair Next Year. Let us liaro a Republican County Cow ventiou before tlie Election. dications of Stability. Although we had a large proportion of attractive residences at the commence ment of this season, yet the houses lately crected have eclipsed all previous efforts, and in many cases are quite pretentious. This indicates a faith in the future of Jamestown that nothing else can, except ing the substantial character of the liauks and business blocks built here tins sum mer. The James River National Bank building, built of Ohio stone, is declared by all who sec it to be the handsomest structure northwest ol St^Paul and Min neapolis. That of the First National bank, built of brick, will be commodious andsecurc. These things are certain in dications of the future, and eastern men visiting us seek investments near them, knowing that property near such struc tu...

They claim that his place, though no worse, per haps than any place of the kind, has a tendency to demoralize the community and lead the young astray, and that on general principles the institution is of no good use to the town. From Wednesday's Daily. Death of a Stranger. Some days ago a German, who was a stranger in a strange land, and had been working on the Davenport farm came to town sick and wandering both in body and mind.
