THURSDAY. iAltf. 28 07" A dispatch from Fort Ileorj, Tennes see, lays it Is reported that tbs rebels, to the number of two thousand five hundred, are encamped in the vicinity of Savannah, on the Tennessee river, and fears are enter tained that the train which left Pittsburg Landing on Sunday for Corinth, nnder an escort of one thousand six hundred men, will he attached and captured by the rebels, aa their presence in that vacinity is entirely unexpected. They are receiving artillery for the purpose of blockading the river, and it is believed that no steamer will now be able to go up the Tennessee river without the protection of the gunboats. The weather was intensely cold,' and the pumps of the en ginea were frozen so as to be useless until they could be thawed. ; Before- water could be thrown upon the flames, they had spread to the'Tobacco establishment of O. G. Cady, and from that to the Packing-House of Sam net O. Pearce, when ; both of these houses with their contents, were destroyed.
