Eagan. who has a lease ou the Peck mine, telephoned to Prescott ou Saturday for a lot of ore sacks for the shipment of a lot of ore which he had just encountered in thai famous mine. This strike of ore. according to his message, is oue of the most important made in trie mine tor years. Wben Mr. Eaean took bis lease on the mine oue of the first things that be did was to remove the dirt from a cave in the tunnel. This cave occurred years ago and noue of the later lessees of the miue paid any attention to it. Mr. Eagan however decided to re- move this dirt and get to the end of the old workings on the tunnel. Two Balls Enter Berry's Arm and One Strikes Him in the Back. A lively shooting affair took place this morning in the store room of the Basbford-linrmisief company. in which W. D. Berrv was painfully but not seriously w.iuuded, the shooter being B. H. Dolly. The circumstances of the shooting, as near as i-ould be learned. wa6 over an order that bad been taken in the store by Mr. Berry Saturday uigbt. It is a rule of the store that no order taken after sis o'clock on Saturday night need be delivered by the drivers.
