Still, head coach David Black knows there are many more games to play. This week, the Pirates will seek to stay unbeaten against a cou- ple of solid opponents. First, they were scheduled to host Mesquite Poteet on Tuesday, the results of which were not available at press time. Wylie concludes the first half of district competition Friday at home versus Highland Park. A split leaves the Pirates with a 4- 1 district record, and some momen- tum into the district's second half, when they play four of their five games on the road.
