WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5, 1876. THE Port Denison Times is never tired of one dreary tune — Territorial Separation. Our contemporary is unfortunately placed to argue the question in an unbiassed manner; he pivots the whole question on Bowen, and, however he shifts round, always comes home to roost in that vale of   rest. Bowen is, in his eyes, the centre of gravity of Queensland, and that Townsville should be favored with government works, which, after all, form only a fraction of what is fairly due to that town, stirs up the   bile of our Bowen brother. He catches at stray crumbs of comfort from the uncon- sidered expressions of some northern journals, taking them at their highest value. Everyone concedes the point that the time will come when another colony must of necessity arise in the North, but few people in the North recognise that the necessity is already on us.
