The trivial, but nevertheless welcome, which came with the new month, gave place to the heavier and more con tinued showers ot the early days ot this week. Further falls may be ex pected, as the atmosphere conditions are neavy ana cu-se. ine iuuit raiu fall for the month to 9 o'clock ot Thursday morning gives 1200 points, an average of an inch per day. Thn following are the tlcures for the month officially recorded at the post office: 2nd 23, 3rd 14, 4th 40, 5th 25, 9th. 23, 10th 331 11th 451, 12th 293. These totals may be taken as almost a general average throughout the dis trict.

Football. 8. GRADE MEETING. Mr. A. P. Myers occupied the chair at a meeting of the Nambour B. Grade team on Tuesday evening last at the Club Hotel, with a good attendance of members. Mlnutes'wer« received and adopted. The selection committee appointed comprised Messrs. A. Myers, F. Dawe. R. Connolly, R. Cronm and P. Warner. The colours of the rear (red and black guernsey with white band). Mr. A. Myers reported on the dele gate meeting at Yandina on Monday night, which was adopted. ' It was de cided to arrange a match with a met ropolitan team at an early date. B.ina-' tions were received from Messrs. A. P. Myers, W. Fawkes and E. Wells, of 10/6 each. Mr. R. Connolly was elected captain pro tern. An entertain ment committee of Sfessrs. R. Cronm. H. Kent, L. Brake, R. Tucker, S. Stew art J. Capper, and A. Myers was appointed, to raise funds for the club.
