Yeomons, a brother of ' Billy ' ieomans tne once iamous jocicey. There was a good attendance at Moorelield races on Saturday. The late Mr. J Yeomans always had a few horses in train, and occasionally en tered at Rosekill, Remember Me and Xillah being about the last. Mr. Dan Fitzgerald, of circus fame, presented A. Richardson, rider of Clean Sweep in the Melbourne Cup, with a handsome gold mounted whip. L. Reiif is at the head of the winning jockcys in England, having won 1U7 races out of 4G1. In my own ►case peai-s, almonds. aud grapes have been all taken. Peaches -well thinned, ?and only a small crop ot cnerries iett. Mr. Jobil Shearing was the father ot two of our most worthy resident h. Messrs \V. atidT. Shearinc of Watergurlibon, Canowindra, and them two gentlemen journeyed to Blaytiey on Saturday last, whore the last sad offices were conducted over the remnins of their respected parent. Mr. Shearing had been a resident ot the Blayney district fo* the past 25 years. In the seventies, Mr. Shearing, who was an Englishman, earns to the Blaynev district where he pur chased about 13o acres of the Church and School lands, and had ever since followed agricultural pursuits. He died at- the good round age of 84, and leaves.a widow 79 years of age and a family of 7.
