THE MERCAD00L LAND CASE. SYDNEY, Tuesday. Mr O'Connor concludod his address in the Aforcadool case yestorday. Mr 'Wise followed, but had not concludod his argumonta on Wilson's bohalf when the Board rose, Latzb. At tho Morcadool inquiry this morn ing, Mr Wise auggestod that as no matter which way tho caso wont thoro was certain to bo an appeal, tho Board in giving thoir decision should refer the matter to the Land Conrt. Tho Board promised to considor the pro posal. £ Mr Heydon thon commenced hiq address on behalf of tho Crown, He contended that Mr Young made a daring attempt to bribo Mr MeMaster, chairman of tho Local Land Board, by sending him a cheque for £'lQ0 to advise the manager of tho station. It was a significant fact that not ono of the friendly selectors wore mon who woro looking for land, but woro in vited to take up tho selections and oven financed by the station.
