liquor wm mm. L.V.A. PRESIDENT'S VIEWS. At Mount Barker on Friday evening last, some interesting information regarding the Liquor Trade's; poll#? in this State was given in a speech by Mr. M. J, Noonan, President of the South Australian Incensed Victuallers Association. Mr. JMoonan stated that those re sponsible for the taking of the Local Option poll (n the various dlstriats in South Australia were really the people who comprised the Prohibition League. OAKBANK DOUBLE. [Newspaper Article] — The Mount Barker Courier and Onkaparinga and Gumeracha Advertiser — 25 March 1927

OAKBANK DOUBLE. Plenty of interest is being infused iu the selection of the Oakbank double -r-Hurdles and Steeple—now that the weights have been issued. A cursory' glance over the weights does hot dis close anything that has been thrown into either .race, and Mr, Goudie has set a solid problem. Much will depend on the strength of the, interstate representation. U those behind Brenda's Son consider he has not been weighted out of the race he might have to be reckoned with, but it seems futile to discuss these horses until nearer the day, when something definite is known of their movements. Those that appeal most at this stage are:— Hurdle Race. Adit 9 7 Deuce .... 9 7 Chatain 10 1 Red Checker 10 10 Great Eastern Steeple. Pine Time 10 1 Brenda's Son 12 12 Mount Cooper 10 8 Namera 10 -5
