mktMmms Music in the Kitchen. We have frequently heard many curious anecdotes of servant-girls giving themselves airs, when they went to engage themselves; but the following may be relied on as a tact: A lady, tvho kept a seminary in a neighboring town, was in want of a housemaid; she advertised, and many called to offer their services. The lady was pleased with the appearance of one, and entered into an agreement with her, requesting her to come to her place without delay. "Where do you intend to practise 1" said the lady. "In the kitchen, 1 suppose," answered Molly Hopkins. "Oh! t shall grow distr...

The blindness spoken of is blindness to all consequences, disregard of all collaterals, reckless obliv. ion or contempt of whatever is foreign to it.
