The law has its good features, but there have been so many unscrupulous men to take advantage of it, that there i a strong feeling against it. Indianapolis is full of young and middle-aged men who are aspirants for clerkships, doorkeepers or other positions. Warren Bigler, secretary of the republican state committee, said: "What a shame it is that there is not enough places to go round. I never knew a time when there were so many applications." If any industry in this country at the present time stands in need of encouragement it is the farming industry.
