GLASGOW WEEKLY TIMES, THURSDAY MORNING, JULY 27, 1854. The Sprakinfr Yesterday. The candidates for the Legislature nd drcsscd n lurgc crowd of voters at this place jo'trdav afternoon. It was nearly sun down before the speaking concluded, and we have but little time for an extended no tice, before our issue must go to press. Mr. Patterson lend off in a speech of some length, The only difference wc noticed in him yesterday, was a slight dejected appear ance, arising perhaps from over fatigue this warm weather perhaps from a conscious ness that he is loosing time, seeing the indif ference of old line democrats to his success, and the positive refusal of many to swallow him at all. There was a great de sire to hear him speak and we think he so fully satisfied that desire, that bo would not "draw" again. Col.
