Sanguinary Encounter with a Wildcat At 10 o'clock A. M., on August 11, a dog belonging to one John Fcltcr, n wood chopper, in Pine Hill, N. Y-, was heard barking in tbo mountains some distance from the house. Mr. Felt er'b little son, twelve years old, knowing by the bark of the dog that ribtne important gauie was on foot, set out for the moun tains. His mother felt a little anxious after the hoy had gone, and for some time listened to the barking of the dog. After half an hour the barking ceased; and, as hour after hour passed away and the boy did not make his appearance, the mother set out to go to one of the neighbors to secure their help in a search for the boy.
