Spies, because of his corporation tendencies, and the Las Vegas Optic is defending him, but the Uptic is of little service, as it practically admits the charges. Jn attempting to answer the Journal's charges, the Optic says; 'We admit that our candidate for president of the constitutional convention, Mr. Charles A.Spiess, is what is commonly known us a Corporation attorney. That state ment means Unit the corporations! employ Mr. Spies because of Ins ability as a lawyer. Does this fact, coupled with the fact that Mr. Spiess aspires to a high po sition in the constitutional con vention, mean that if he is elect ed to the presidency he will make the constitution a pro-corporation instrument?
